We will be releasing a new version of the XH300 with an USB interface.   This will allow integration of the XH300 with your computer systems.   The USB interface will allow positioning the cursor under computer control as well as querying the current cursor position after the knob has been adjusted.   There will be many other features available through the USB interface.

We are proud to intorduce some new products.

• We are offering our versitile XH300PKG crosshair generator in a tough ABS package that includes a wall mount power supply.
• We are offering all products with either BNC or RCA video connectors.
• Our web site has been updated to show the new offerings.

The new firmware will ship from today.   The new features include;

• A new menu system.   This makes it easier to select among the new cursors and other selectable features.
• Two new cursors are available; a single horizontal line and a single vertical line.   This is in addition to the currently available cursors.
• Menu lock-out feature.   A jumper on the board can be used to lock out the menu system thereby preventing changes to the current cursor type settings.   The cursor positions continue to be adjustable.
• Cursor adjustment accelerator.   Moving the knob slowly moves the cursor pixel by pixel with each click of the knob.   Rapid movement moves multiple pixels for each click.
• There is a new manual describing the new features; revision 1.2.   The old manual, revision 1.1 is still available.

I am just putting the finishing touches on a new release of the firmware: 1.2.   This will include a number of new features as listed below;

• New menu system for selecting the various features.
• Two new cursors, single horizontal line and single vertical line.
• The menu can be locked out with a jumper on the circuit board preventing inadvertent changes.
• The cursor adjustment knob has an acceleration feature which allows both fine adjustment and fast moves. 

In this blog I will be talking about projects that we are working on.   Currently we are bring out a packaged version of the XH300AS video crosshair generator.   We will also discuss the ins and outs of video.   Hopefully this information will be usefull to our customers.
